Henderson waves is 274-metre-long, it is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore, and also a part of the Southern Ridges. The bridge is in wave-form and used yellow balau wood, an all-weather timber found in Southeast Asia. This iconic bridge links Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill, the curved ribs form alcoves that function as shelters with seats within. It still feels cool even under hot weather.

Not only to enjoy the greenish view here, the stunning view of Keppel Bay with the 5 blocks of glass building is also not to miss. Furthermore, every night from 7pm to 2am midnight, the wave-forms are lit with LED lamps. If visit here at the evening, you can have the two different view at the same time.

Another spot near to the Henderson Waves is the Terrace Garden. With a series of stairs and terraces, flowers are planted. The open space at the top of the garden can view the city in distance. If visit Henderson Waves should also come to Terrace Garden.

新加坡植物园
在2015年7月14日列入世界遗产名单
成为新加坡的首个世界遗产

Singapore Botanic Garden had been honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 14 July 2015, and it is the Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

开放时间从早上5点至午夜12点
除了国家胡姬花园外
全园入场免费
国家胡姬花园从早上8点30分到晚上7点
入门票为成人$5，学生和60岁以上$1,12岁以下免费
里头展出数千种原种和杂交种兰花

The opening hour is from 5am to 12 midnights daily and the admission is free except for the National Orchid Garden. The National Orchid Garden is open from 8.30am to 7pm daily with an admission fee of $5 for adult, $1 for students and senior citizens 60 years and above, children below 12 years old are free. There is a collection of more than thousand species and hybrids of orchids.

The greenish garden is so beautiful and you are able to find swans in the Swan Lake, both black and white. If you are lucky, you might get to see some squirrels in the Garden.

The gazebo which is known as the Bandstand, was built in 1930s and retained its original form over the years. This is one of the most iconic landmark in the Botanic Garden and it used to be somewhere for music performance, but now it is only used for the few performances organized by the Botanic Garden.

偶尔周末会有免费音乐会

The Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage which built on the Symphony Lake do have some free concerts on weekends occasionally.

In addition to all the above, there are still a numbers of attraction in the Botanic Garden, such as the Evolution Garden, Ginger Garden and Eco-Lake. There are also runners coming to the Garden for a jog in the morning or evening. If you would like to enjoy a quiet moment, just bring your picnic mat and spend a morning in the Botanic Garden.
